What is Feed the Soul?
Feed the Soul is to create a space where people can explore and share the different ways we nurture and feed our souls. Every journey is unique and by sharing our stories—big or small—we can learn from one another and grow together. Through these experiences, the hope is to inspire a deeper sense of fulfillment, connection, compassion, and understanding in our collective human experience.
How do I feed my soul?
Throughout my life, I’ve come to understand that the most meaningful lessons often come from the people we meet—whether face-to-face or through the screen. From the way others express themselves through their crafts, their personal journeys, or simply by being vulnerable, their stories have shaped how I show up in this world.
Growing up on the internet (shoutout tumblr days!), I was exposed to so many different people and experiences. And while it helped me navigate through my journey and my identity, I also realized there weren’t many voices I felt I could truly connect with as a queer, non-binary, asian american.
This sparked a desire to share my own journey through Lex for the Soul: a podcast and blog, and Queers for the Soul: an inclusive platform of resources available for and by the queer community.
My purpose was simple, to share my experiences as I step into my identity in the hopes that it could help others, even if it only reached one person. After putting out my first few episodes, I received so much heartfelt & humbling feedback about how relatable and educational my experiences were, I also recognized the lack of visibility to queer resources. I felt reaffirmed in my purpose to use my platform to share my own experiences and to highlight the folx and experiences that have helped shape my journey.
Storytelling has been such a powerful tool in my life, because it’s through the experiences of others that I’ve learned the most about myself. This platform is my way of continuing that exchange, offering a space where people can share what feeds their soul. I’m constantly reflecting on the question, “What nourishes me?” and I want to create a space where others can do the same. By sharing stories—no matter how big or small—we can connect, learn from each other, and find inspiration in unexpected places.
